This is the shortest one of our retreats suitable for people who have a limited time and still wish to experience a day filled with yoga and meditation activities in a peaceful and rejuvenating environment. If you are new to yoga, you will get a chance to experience the benefits and learn the fundamentals of this ancient practice as well as relax and unwind in a tranquil setting. If you are an experienced yogi, you will be able to deepen your practice, discover the wonders of bhakti yoga (kirtan), nada yoga (healing sound), yoga nidra (guided relaxation) and rejuvenate in a peaceful setting among like-minded people.

The day starts early morning with a meditation session where you get to experience one of many different styles of meditation which allows us to connect deeper with our inner landscape, gain clarity and inner calmness. This is followed by grounding practices in the garden and a morning yogic nasal cleanse ritual to clear our sinuses with the use of a neti pot and saline water. Many people report feeling more clarity, improved breathing and lightness as a result of this practice.

A morning yoga session follows which features pranayama breathing practice, dynamic sequences as well as static asanas. After breakfast you are free to indulge in our wellness activities which include aromatic steam bath, mud bath, Himalayan salt foot bath, aromatherapy steam inhalation or self-massage with various tools available at the centre.

In the afternoon you will be immersed in a sound bath with the use of gongs and singing bowls, a deeply profound and relaxing experience that is also healing by its nature. Following free time for relaxation in the afternoon you will experience the benefits of chanting as part of Bhakti Yoga practice - where we gather in a group setting, chant mantras and play various instruments bringing forth vibrant and uplifting energy for the rest of the day.

This is followed by the evening yoga program which is focused on flow with dynamic and more intense sequences and after this vigorous session you will be introduced to the practice of Yoga Nidra - a guided relaxation or yogic sleep which is deeply soothing and rejuvenating.

After dinner we immerse ourselves in silence and you can experience the benefits of a silent meditation session in a cosy atmosphere and tranquil setting of our candle-lit yoga hall, where dim lighting and dancing shadows appear to bring our Buddha bas relief mud sculpture to life.

A peaceful and sound night of sleep follows.

You can start this one day retreat on any day of the week after 3pm, the next day being your full day program and departure on the following morning. We do recommend confirming your reservation in advance as spaces are limited. Please send an email to info@purnayoga.com.np or use our booking page.

  • 2 nights accommodation on twin sharing basis with attached bathroom
